Card payment
Card payment
Card payments (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Diners Club, Discover, UnionPay, JCB and American Express) are processed via payment terminals, which are stationary or mobile electronic devices with specialized software, enabling payments with cards with chips (EMV chip & PIN), magnetic strips, or NFC modules for contactless payments.
Stationary terminals are great for most points of service, while mobile terminals are especially suitable for the HoReCa businesses.
Contactless mobile payments
Contactless mobile payments
Contactless payments with mobile devices, like smartphones and smartwatches, make for quick and convenient payments for products and services. These transactions require a specific app, like Google Pay or Apple Pay, and NFC-enabled mobile device.
Primary currency payments (DCC)
Primary currency payments (DCC)
Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) enables paying with a foreign card's primary currency for products and services purchased in Poland. The conversion is calculated in real time according to the same-day exchange rate. The final total payment is visible in the payment terminal.
Cash withdrawals (cashback)
Cash withdrawals (cashback)
Cashback is a service that enables cash withdrawals from the shop's register while paying for products and services — all via a payment terminal. The terminals with the software providing cash withdrawals fill in the role of ATMs, letting the customers withdraw even some smaller sums of money.
Preauthorization
Preauthorization
Preauthorization enables putting a hold on the charged amount from a payment card before the payment is actually made. This service secures future charges for the payment receiver.
MO/TO
MO/TO
The MDE transactions (Manual Data Entry) are made without contact with the physical payment card by providing the card's details in the terminal. The transaction is processed based on the written, e-mail (Mail Order) or phone (Telephone Order) request put forward by the cardholder. The MDE transactions are usually used for making hotel reservations or for settlements after the hotel's guest leaves.
PIN Pads for cash register systems
PIN Pads for cash register systems
A PIN Pad is a programmable device connected with the cash register which can be used by the retail chains using either their proprietary or third-party IT solutions. PIN Pad transactions do not require a cashier's involvement, and the information from the cash register is sent automatically, which reduces the number of errors related to manual inputs.
Cashier log-ins
Cashier log-ins
Cashier log-ins enable registering sales per each cashier, based on individual passwords. Logging in provides the feature of tracking sales records for each cashier, printing out their ID numbers on receipts, as well as printing out individual sales summaries at any time or at the end of the day.
Reason for payment
Reason for payment
Reason for payment is a feature that provides the space for including any additional alphanumerical information on the payment, like policy number or invoice details. This enables linking specific payments to customers or products. Transactions with the reason for payment included can be verified by accessing an encrypted website where we can export the information to .xls and .pdf files.
Tips
Tips
